About Me
I'm Mrs. Burris- one of the social studies teachers here at IACS. I teach social studies/ELA for the Rise team and I'm the Rise Coordinator. I'm really looking forward to a great year together and wanted to start off by telling you a little bit about me.
I enjoy traveling and watching Formula 1. In 2019, I married my best friend and we have two retired racing greyhounds named Pirelli and Enzo. I played collegiate indoor and beach volleyball at Colorado Mesa University. In December of 2017, I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in History with an emphasis in Secondary Education from Colorado Mesa University. In August of 2019, I graduated with a Masters of Arts in History with an emphasis in Education from Grand Canyon University. Currently, I am working on my doctorate degree in Learning, Design, and Technology from the University of Wyoming. I also hold an ELA credential through the state of Colorado. I am excited to work with your student for the 2023-2024 school year!
