Mrs. Brown - Special Services Coordinator
Hello! My name is Katie Brown and this is my 8th year at Independence Academy. I have two children. One who just left IACS for Palisade High School and a 7th grader who still attends IACS. And we all love this school!
I teach Special Education as well as Gifted and Talented Education. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Writing and a Master's Degree in Reading Leadership. In addition to my teaching duties, I also sponsor the school's Service Club and News Crew.
I enjoy spending time with my husband and two children and our many animals. I also enjoy reading and building Legos!
